CARELINKS extends its appreciation to its partners, DOSAN Inc, Bayshore, Humans of Valor for the good collaboration and partnership to host the Sustainable Development Goals 1&2 conference (Toronto, August 14th-15th,2025) which will create a tremendous opportunity for Civil society, international organizations fighting hunger and poverty, international development agencies, Research and knowledge centres on food, nutrition and poverty, Philanthropies, Policy makers to come together and unpack the global burden of Hunger and poverty
Why Attend?
According to a UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) report, the number of people suffering from hunger in the world increased by 122 million people in 2022 when compared to 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic.
This conference is happening in Canada due to this reality to attract expert discussions on hunger and poverty reduction policies to address this global issue and achieve sustainable development goals 1&2.
The Keynote speaker will be the Director for the Center of Excellence Against Hunger-WFP, Mr. Daniel Balaban.
Another distinguished speaker will be
Arlene Mitchell, Executive Director, Global Child Nutrition Foundation from Seattle Washington United States of America.

Online Registration Opens – September 2024
Online Registration Closes – Wednesday July 30th, 2025. Early registration is highly encouraged especially for International Delegates.

Prices are all in Canadian dollars.
• Registration fees include all conference materials, lunch, coffee &tea.
• Scientific sessions, sponsored symposia, the opening reception and access to the poster and exhibit hall.
• Registration fees do not include accommodation and transport to and from the conference venue.
• International Delegates interested in attending the Conference will be issued a letter of invitation for Visa application after full registration and payment. The online receipt issued to you after payment is your confirmation for registration
• Cancellations and Refunds Policy. If the conference is cancelled by the organizer and does not take place for any reason or the other, the full registration fee will be refunded. No refunds available for failure to attend the conference or acquire travel documents to the conference.

Land Acknowledgement
Gathering together, we acknowledge and give thanks for the story of the land on which we stand. This land is situated on the territory of the Anishnawbe Confederacy, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, the Wendat Nation, and the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation. This land is the subject of the Dish with One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, a Treaty between the Anishnawbe Confederacy, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, and allied Nations to peaceably care for the life of the Great Lakes. May we live respectfully on the land and seek to walk the path of truth and reconciliation.
Conference Code of Conduct
The International conference on Sustainable Development Goals 1&2 (CARELINKS Conference 2025) is dedicated to providing a safe, harassment-free environment for all participants. We invite you to help us make this conference a place that is welcoming and respectful for all participants, regardless of race, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, national origin, ethnicity, or religion.
As a Code of Conduct, we expect all participants (attendees, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, organizers and volunteers) at the at the international conference on Sustainable Development Goals 1&2 social events, online activities and social media before, during and after the conference itself) to treat others with the highest respect.
Behaviours that are not respectful will not be tolerated at this event. To ensure a positive environment for all, below we have defined unacceptable behaviour and harassment, consequences as unacceptable behaviour and provided guidance on what to do if you witness or are subject to harassment at this conference.
Unacceptable Behaviour
These behaviours, in any form, will not be tolerated at the Conference:
- Harassment (see full definition below)
- Intimidation, deliberate stalking or following.
- Abuse
- Discrimination
- Use of dehumanizing language, images, or clothing. This includes presentations, slides, and speaker content.
- Possession of an item that can be used as a weapon causing harm to self and/or to others.
Our definition of harassment includes:
- Unwelcome or hostile behaviour, including verbal or written comments that intimidate, create discomfort, or interfere with a person’s participation in the conference.
- Unwelcome physical contact
- Unwelcome sexual attention
If You Experience or Witness Unacceptable Behaviour
We need your help to keep the conference community safe, accountable, and responsible.
If you experience or witness any forms of unacceptable behaviour, please bring your concerns to the immediate attention of conference staff wearing conference T-shirts with Carelinks Organization or email us immediately at info@carelinkshealth.org
Conference staff will be happy to assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference.

Consequences of Unacceptable Behaviour
Delegate/s will be asked to stop unacceptable behaviour are expected to comply immediately. Delegate/s who violate the Code of Conduct may be expelled from the conference and related on-going activities and banned from future events at the discretion of the Conference organizers or CARELINKS ORGANIZATION Board of Directors.
